London Calling

Untitled

Every few months my camera needs to see London and I am happy to take it. My usual route starts at Marble Arch where I part with the Oxford Tube. Tea at a Mayfair cafe is closely followed by Selfridges, South Molton Street, Bond Street, Fenwicks, Liberty, Carnaby Street, Beyond Retro and numerous boutiques around Soho, as I drift towards Covent Garden via Earlham Street. If there is time I head out towards Knightsbridge or Chelsea and when the sun is out Brick Lane or Portobello Road.

I like to look at expensive handbags, beautiful shop windows, unusual doorways, people, tiles in the underground, cute cafes, railings, balconies, coloured buildings, lines of trees, topiary, overpriced antiques, vintage clothing, cupcakes, pretty packaging, new shops and shops I have known since I was a child. It is always an adventure behind a camera lens.

    1. It's amazing isn't it!

The padlocks are in Covent Garden and they are for the British Heart Foundation.
