Friday Photographer ~ Amanda Johnson

This is my first 'Friday Photographer' post for months and due to my recent obsession (yes I have an obsession - that is so unlike me) of stalking other people's houses online, I thought I would share one of my faves.

So here is the home of the beautiful Amanda Johnson or Candi Mandi. Amanda's home in Canton, Ohio, consists of an eclectic mix of yummy things, set against a white minimal back drop. Just my cup of tea.

Blythecon UK 2011

On Saturday 1 October my Mum and I attended Blythecon UK 2011 at Baden-Powell House Conference Centre, London. It was a fabulous day, and weekend, spent shopping, eating and catching up with my lovely Blythe friends. Here are a few snaps for those who missed out on the fun!

Sound of Silence

Wow..

That was a long silence.

I missed you. No really I did.

I thought it was about time I put pen to paper or at least my fingers to my keyboard.

So here I am, blogging from my new home, with walls that smell of new paint and noises I am not yet accustomed to. On moving day I filled a huge removal van with kitsch tat and watched as boxes of tiny deer carefully wrapped in bubbles were piled out of reach. The removal men then disappeared with all my things, and I fell asleep on the dining room floor of my empty house, as I waited and waited and waited for that completion call. Hours later - completion (scream!) - and I got the keys to my new shiny top floor apartment. It was all very dramatic, and I will never forget locking my front door for the very last time.

I am in love with my new home and I will certainly be sharing some photographs with you soon. When the paint has dried.

Aside from moving I had a couple of my iPhone snaps published in the Rough Guide to Digital Photography. The book was written by the fabulous Sophie Goldsworthy, now pop over to her blog and I will see you soon.
