Guilty Pleasure

I love Cath Kidston, and I have been a fan of the brand since discovering her tiny shop on Chelsea Green, London, in the 1990s. At the time I was living on the corner of Jubilee Place and Kings Road, and I passed the shop on my way to work each morning. There was something about the pretty nostalgic prints that really warmed my heart, and continues to today.

Anyway, the reason I write is because Cath Kidston has finally opened a shop in Oxford. Yay! The shop is beautiful – from the displays of vintage collectables, to the floral wallpapered ceiling – it was difficult knowing where to look first. I was particularly taken by the vintage prints that adorn the walls of the staircase, something I may recreate in my own home. On my first visit I bought a floral print shirt and a (mandatory) tea towel, I have my eye on a few other items which I may treat myself to before the week is out.

  1. I think, when I finally get to visit a Cath Kidston store, I'll crumple into a heap just inside of the front door. The excitement will be too much for me.

Guess what...no more overseas shipping rates!!! Guess what my mom's getting for Christmas?!

  3. Oh that looks great! Love it! I would really like it when we would have a Cath Kidston shop around the corner ;) but, sadly here in the Netherlands we only have webshops with Cath Kidston stuff.
